Creating Heading Tags
If you want to create a website that would be optimized for search engines, you would have to create the content of your website containing heading tags. Heading tags would be one way of making the various search engines be able to identify the type of content your website has. It is a way for the search engine to verify if your website is capable supplying or giving the information that is being searched or looked upon by the internet user. It is also a way of validating and identifying if the content you have on the page is credible or if it just contains information that is not needed or necessary.
You should not confuse heading tags with headers. They are practically different in terms of use and content. Heading tags are used in order to present the structure on the page to your viewers or readers. There are typically different types of heading tags. This can be classified into heading 1, heading 2, heading 3, heading 4, heading 5, and heading 6. These different heading tags are arranged and organized according to relevance and importance.
These heading tags serve a particular purpose: to be able to make the text larger than the normal text on the page. This would be something that would strike readers and viewers of your page. Just like in a book, some authors would tend to separate quoted parts of the text which the author feels important, so goes with heading tags. Often than not, these heading tags would be the key points which your readers would take into consideration, and at most times, the very things that your readers would remember.
Heading tags are also a way for your users, readers, and viewers to navigate easier from your page and browse through the different contents of your page. These heading tags are practically like making an outline regarding the whole topic or subject matter that you are discussing in your webpage.
There are some things that you would have to consider though in creating heading tags. I have already mentioned that heading tags is like an outline of the structure of your page. It should contain all relevant topics as main headings, and the rest would fall as sub-topics of the information you are discussing. If heading tags were created to give structure to your page, then definitely, one of the things you should avoid is creating heading tags that have no relevance or does not give a direction to the topic you are discussing. You should also consider the heading tags that you are placing because you might be identifying them as heading tags when they should be classified as Meta tags, keyword phrases, and keywords. This would disrupt your readers and cause them confusion while reading through the contents of your page. Heading tags does not contain the whole text, but rather only a single, important part of the paragraph and thus would be limited to a sentence.
Ending up this article, we would say that heading tags are used in order to allow search engines to identify the structure of your webpage. Amidst the purpose of the heading tags, we should bear in mind not to place too many of them in our page.
